Sorcerers found among the King's Quest world are specialized magic users that cast sorcery, employing unnatural magic usually derived from evil spirits or demons (though sometimes the spells utilize ingredients from nature). While it seems that most sorcerers are evil, it seems that they may not all be evil, as Edward was able to trust one (that later turned out to be evil). If all sorcerers were evil it is unlikely that Edward would have trusted any of them.

Infact some sorcerers are good as some Druid sorcerers from the Isle of the Mists helped King Caliphim, and Queen Allaria to take back the castle from the evil vizier. King Caliphim had a court sorcerer that helped Derek Karlavaegen get to Serenia after his adventures in the Green Isles.

Ulan Vasx was also a benevolent sorcerer that once taught at the Magicians' Academy. He was also known to try to save a kingdom from Wandering Weevils but his attempt was less than successful...
