The Daventry coin are gold coins appear in multiple fan games. They are considered the common currency in Daventry.
King's Quest II: Romancing the StonesEdit
The gold Daventry coins originate from the Chest of Gold and bear the face of the first king of Daventry, Legenimor. Because of the imprint Graham was able to tell that the dwarf had directly stolen the gold from the magic chest.
The Silver LiningEdit
The Daventry Coin is a newer edition of the Daventry gold coins. Despite his protests an edition of the coin with Graham's face on it, was released recently to accompany the old ones displaying the face of King Edward his predecessor. The front bears the face of King Graham, with his name listed underneath. The back says, "Kingdom of Daventry", and "One Gold".
Graham is able to prove his identity by giving the coin to Hassan (unofficial). It is not enough to buy passage on the Queen, however.
Behind the scenesEdit
In fact, Graham's face appeared on the Copper coin from KQ6.
If Daventry's gold coins come from the Chest of Gold, why would there be any faces of Daventry's recent kings on the coins? Do they melt the coins down and re-mint them?
