Abominable Snowman

The Abominable Snowman, also known as Yeti, is type of creature found in mountains above Daventry.

Background

Alexander had to get past the Abominable Snowman in the Great Mountains to reach Daventry. The snowman lived in a cave in the high mountains with the bones of its victims scattered on the ground. Yeti are one type of Abominable snow men. An Abominable Snowman is a tall hair-covered human like creature that is said to inhabit remote parts of the high Himalaya mountains. Long thought to be legend, some scientists feel that it might possibly exist. Many footprints allegedly made by the creature have been found and photographed, and some fuzzy photos of the beast itself are said to exist.

Another creature similar to abominable snowmen are the Frost Demons that live in the Frozen Reaches. They are large and shaggy beasts of the ice realm. They are very strong and often travel in packs. They are slow-moving and rather dumb.

Physiology

The Abominable Snowman differs from most yetis in that it their hands and feet are flesh toned skin. Yetis have fuzzy hair covered hands and feet in grey or white.

Behind the scenes

In KQ3, Abominable Snowman is the name to refer to the creature in the game, in the game the term 'abominable snowman' is used to describe the race as a whole.

In KQ3 demo the abominable snowman makes stomping sounds as it trudges across the ground towards Gwydion and picks him up.

In KQ3 Apple IIGS sound he makes growls (with a digital sound from a lion or tiger or some other larger cat).
