Sword used by Skeleton Commander guarding the Bridge of Life in the Dimension of Death. Connor obtained the doubled-edged sword after he defeated the commander in battle. He no longer needed his previous sword, the Sword of the Lake as double-edged sword proved to be a stronger sword, so he left his old sword behind. Later he payed 400 gold coins and traded in the double-edged sword for the War Hammer from the Weapon Seller Gnome.

Depending on if the player gets the War Hammer or not, they can carry this sword all the way to the Barren Region where it is traded in for the Black Diamond Pike.
This sword acts as Connor's primary hand weapon in the Swamp where you don't have the option of receiving any new hand weapons. Depending on the player's choice, it will then be wielded partly or all the way through the Underground Realm of the Gnomes. If the sword is kept to the Barren Region instead of being traded in, it becomes the longest lasting hand weapon of the game, lasting through two whole realms and part of a third.
