Fire ants are a species of ant found only in the Barren Region.
Background[]
This creature minds its own business unless provoked, in which case it calls in several other ants to help fight the threat. If they are left alone, they will not attack, as long as nothing gets too close to them. If something gets the attention of just one, the rest will swarm out to attack.
Fire ants live in the Ant Hills and will come out of their hill if a they sense a threat too close to their homes.
It is believed that fire ants gather magma into their holes.
Their nickname is the Orkin Nightmare.
