The Gingerbread House is the home of the witch Dahlia. It looks like a large gingerbread cupcake, with frosting for a roof. Candy canes made up the fence. Gummi bricks formed the chimney. The door was a slab of chocolate. The steps were made from vanilla fudge. The windows were of hardened sugar. Cookies decorated the outside of the house. The ground was littered with gumdrops and sourball stones. Around the fence were little gingerbread children.

King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown VGA[]

The purpose and iterations with the Gingerbread House is pretty-much exactly like it was in the official King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown, the SCI remake.

Graham came across the house in the dark woods. He decided to nibble on the gingerbread coating to start, and knocked on the chocolate door. When no one answered, Graham entered the dwelling. Inside, the place looked dark and ominous. When the witch Dahlia came home, Graham pushed her into the cauldron.

The appearance gingerbread house in early versions of KQ1VGA, is much like that in KQ1SCI. In version 4.0 it's architecture was drastically changed.

TSL universe[]

The gingerbread cookie house was long demolished.

Revenge of the Black Cloak Society[]

In Revenge of the Black Cloak Society, the Gingerbread House of Dahlia had disappeared after her defeat years before. This was due to the magical laws of containment making people bypass the cottage. Once Shadrack had arrived in Daventry, he hypnotized a brigand named Brutus into locating it, and then bring a young maiden to the cottage so he could revive Dahlia. Afterwords, the revived Dahlia had then brought Queen Valanice there in order to cast a spell on here that would turn all the people of Daventry into human sized cookies. Her plan was thwarted when King Graham defeated her again. With her defeat, the cottage crumbled.
