The ring of a dead hero, once worn by the noble knight long deceased, Sir James of Daventry. It was one of the three ingredients needed for the Spell of Magical Illumination needed make the Magical Ring of Illumination which could defeat the Shadow Bane. The Wizard of Daventry used it along with Torch Ashes, and the Sacred Flame in order to cast the spell.
