The scrap of paper was a scrap from a page of the Riddle Book. It was a scrap of paper that had blown into the web of the Black Widow. Alexander pulled on a dangling thread, and part of the web became unraveled. The spider moved away from the parchment, and Alexander quickly snatched it out of the web. The wind suddenly blew it away. The riddle it answered was the same one that Gate would ask Alexander in the Land of the Dead.
