Oberon is the king of the Fairies in Etheria He is the husband of Titania, father of Edgar.
Background[]
Oberon being immortal has ruled the alternate universe known as the Realm of Eldritch (Faerieland: Eldritch and the kingdom of Etheria) for aeons. Not long after the birth of his son Edgar, the child was kidnapped by the evil faerie Lolotte. Oberon and Titania searched the world for their baby, but finally they had to give up and turn their attentions back to their kingdom. They thought their only son was dead. They never realized that their son was not on their world anymore, but was taken to another dimension (World of Daventry).
Years later, they were reunited with Edgar who had been liberated by Princess Rosella, but he was kidnapped again by Malicia during the celebration of his return.
William Shakespeare once wrote of Oberon in one his plays, and the Land of Faerie where he rules. The play is included in The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare.

Behind the scenes[]
Oberon (/ˈoʊbərɒn/) is a king of the fairies in medieval and Renaissance literature. He is best known as a character in William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which he is King of the Fairies and spouse of Titania, Queen of the Fairies. Nowhere in MND does it suggest that Oberon and Titania have children. There are fairies who serve them. One such including Puck (also known as Robin Goodfellow).[2] It is other works from the renaissance period who discuss his family.[3] Edgar appears to be an an invention by Roberta Williams for King's Quest. In the play Titania is taking care of an unnamed adopted Changeling boy who originated from India.[4] However, it is unknown if this character inspired Edgar, although Edgar has been a kidnapped 'Changeling' in his own right on multiple occasions.
Also in the play both Oberon and Titania had affairs with mortal lovers, and like Zeus may have spawned demi-god offspring. In addition other poems, novels and writings give the fairy royalty a number of children and heirs.[5][6]
In the KQC, Oberon makes an exclamation, "By the blood of all the gods!", suggesting a reference to a pantheon known in the Realm of Eldritch. He and his wife, The Fates, the Weaver of Dreams, Lady Mab, Ceres and Attis may be members of this pantheon. In addition Ambrosia is said to be the food of the gods, and sacred nectar was the drink of the gods. Titania's name even is a reference to the Titans, primordial Greek gods.
Oberon in KQ appears in part to be based on Zeus.
