Background[]
He was a red tomato that had fallen off the Tomato vines in the Pun Garden and then formed a bad attitude. He often ranted and insulted anyone who met up with him. Alexander gave him to Bump-on-a-Log so that he could throw him at Stick-in-the-Mud to avenge the mistreatment he had received from his brother. After being thrown at Stick, Rotten Tomato threw gobs of swamp ooze at Bump to get even. Both grew tired, and finally took a nap.
