The Torch Ashes are ashes from a torch. Connor needed the ashes for the spell of Magical Illumination needed to defeat the Shadow Bane. He found the ashes in a hallway in the Castle Daventry. The Wizard of Daventry used the ashes, along with a Sacred Flame, and a ring of a dead hero in order to cast the spell for Connor. The wizard told him the ashes would work wonders.
