A purple fasceted jewel used to torture the stolen souls of kings, in order to weaken them and make them give up, so Telgrin can his create his Black Knights. The jewel was used on the orb where Graham 's soul was kept, but Alexander saved his father before he could be transformed into one of the knights.
Alexander also used the Jewel against Telgrin by turning it around and aiming it at his chest, and it weakened the evil wizard just enough making him slump to the ground, that Alex was able to escape.
