The Mama Pumpkin was a large pumpkin capable of intelligent speech. She lived in a patch along with eight children. A troublesome villager claiming to be a horticulturist nabbed one of her children and went back to the town of Kolyma. Graham distracted him by throwing fool's gold into the town's fountain and quickly rescued the baby pumpkin. He returned the pumpkin to her and then gave it some bitter water. The Mama Pumpkin gladly handed Graham a candle.
