A rhinoceros is a large-horned beast. The head of a rhinoceros was on the wall of Abdul Alhazred's study. The skulls of two large rhinoceros like beasts can also be found hanging on the alter and above the door in the Minotaur's Lair.

It is not known if any source specifically uses the term 'rhinoceros'. Although that is what is seen in the games. It is possible that people of Daventry may have another name for the horned beasts.
