The Ugly Duckling was a queer-looking baby bird paddling around in the middle of a lake. Graham used a net to safely capture it without harming it. He came across a pond with a swan and several young swans swimming around in it. After releasing the baby bird into the pond, it became disenchanted and flew away with the rest of the swan family.
