Welcome
Edit
Hi, welcome to King's Quest Omnipedia! Thanks for your edit to the Cat page.
Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Baggins (Talk) 18:26, December 25, 2012
Animal category
Edit
I noticed that we have both an animal and a 'fauna' category. These are redundant. We should use one or the other. We have a category "flora" for plantlife and fungi (technically not plants of course). If you can help by moving or removing animal categories to fauna category it would help alot.
Also, if a topic has its own category for example, "Cat" the cat article only needs to be listed under the cat category, the cat category should be listed under the Fauna category. This limits redundant listings within a category.Baggins (talk) 13:26, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
- Again, please avoid using the "races" category, if the topic is already under a subcategory within the "races" category. This is for simplifying the category system and avoiding redundant categories.
Also please check the category list to see that you don't make a category if another similar one already exists.
Note: Spiders are arachnids, not 'insects".Baggins (talk) 10:42, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Informations and appearances sections
Edit
The informations sections are not really needed. We have a format for 'citing' game information and quotes. Information should be included in the 'background' sections, and then use the <ref></ref> to insert ingame quotes.Baggins (talk) 15:41, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
The appearances section is also redundant and not needed. As references to which game they are included in appear usually in the references section (Use <ref></ref>), or in the initial paragraph of an article, sometimes within the "behind the scenes" section, and always in the category list at the bottom of each page. It may be referenced multiple times through other categories as well.Baggins (talk) 15:45, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
So ya, anything that goes into the 'informations and appearances" sections should actually be using the "ref" commands I listed above.Baggins (talk) 16:16, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
{{stub}}
Edit
Please do not remove the {{stub}} command unless you are certain that 80% of the information about that item as it relates to the games is included (this includes any screenshots). Obviously, many of the item pages are currently have incomplete informatin, even with the new material that you have included. These are still very much stubs, so please leave the stub command in place.Baggins (talk) 16:16, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Adding categories
Edit
Please ask me in my talk page, before you make any more category changes. I'll let you know if which ones are ok to change, or which ones are redundant. Thank you. If there is continued additions of redundant categories I may have to suspend editing privaliges for a while, as it is alot of work to have to clean up.Baggins (talk) 16:27, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
